I'm behind ... almost a full year behind. NO MORE! I've got a plan. It's ambitious, but hopefully doable. My kids are too great not to keep recorded memories of while they grow, amaze and continue to inspire us. SO... I'm going to use the tools that technology has given me and try to let google do (roughly) a video/month for the past year to at least get me somewhat caught up.
Buckle up and be prepared for a ride back in time full of video montages that are computer generated but will be better than nothing. Right?
Here goes...
I've been meaning to capture the moments that make motherhood so special and although there are many videos and photos which will account for the first 15 months of Tavish's life there are no journals or scrapbooks. So, this blog will document the tid-bits and tales of the moments that make a mother proud, happy and generally enthused about this ride that is motherhood. This has been created for me but I invite you to read, share and enjoy this collection of moments too.

Kindness
Sometimes the caring between our children leaves us in awe of their kindness and connection. This is one of those times...

Je M'appelle Funny Bear
Sometimes, our Tavish can be a real joker...
MOMENT: Funny Bear
I was putting Keva's diaper on in the bathroom and was strongly encouraging Tavish to get his pjs on ... no doubt it was later than I'd anticipated. Into the doorway of the bathroom runs Tavish without pants and his pj shirt over his head singing "Je m'appelle funny bear!" a few times, then ran out of eye sight. Random, but all in silly good fun. Then, he appears again, this time fully naked with Keva's sleeper on his head to sing the same little song and run off. This happens a few times more... with the fan filter on his head, with a bib on, and finally a sleeping pad from our tent covering his whole body! You could only see dancing arms and legs! One couldn't help but laugh... and shake their head with entertained confusion!

THREE!
May 28, 2015
Keva had a birthday. It was during a weekday, so she got to spend the day with her best pal Caeli who surprised Keva with an amazing homemade "busy board"! The evening brought over Auntie Colleen and a few friends (Kimberley and Isabel) to celebrate.
MOMENT: Three Flowers for a Three Year Old
There were flowers from our friends, a crown from Tavish, a gift from Auntie Colleen, a new doctor bag and, of course, some cupcakes with a candle!

Batter Up
May 26, 2015
Tavish was saving for a baseball bat. There was a sale at Canadian Tire. Off we went!
MOMENT: Shopping and Spending
We did our research. Found a great bat on sale for $17.99. Tavish had $21.00. Perfect excuse for a family outing. Turns out, it wasn't that easy: Bat not there. Found better bat. It wasn't on sale. Talked with salespeople. Chased Keva. Contained Keva (temporarily). Put down the baggie of money. Found it. Got a better deal for a better bat. Spent all but a few coins. Spenders remorse. Left happy. Hit the park.

Big Girl Bed
May 9th, 2015
She's growing and so too must her bed ...
MOMENT: Big Crib Ready
Keva's sleep time became more spacious. Sure, she still referred to it as her big crib, because of the rails, but the point is - crib is out, bed is in. Welcome to your bigger bed, Keva!
