Sleep Over Camp & Camping

Tavish went off to overnight camp for the first time. It was 3 days and 2 nights at Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park with his buddy, Zack. To cope with his absence and be close by just-in-case, Keva and Mommy went camping with Zack's parents and brother. Good times were had by all! (except maybe Daddy who was left working in the City!)

MOMENTS: Campers All Around

We had a delayed arrival at Camp Kawartha, but Tavish made it through the rigorous lice inspection station and strolled into his bunk house, "Tamarak" to meet with Zack and some other kids that would become friends in a few short days. Meanwhile, Keva and Mommy headed off to camp with Parker and his parents. Tavish and Zack rated their first overnight camp experience as a '10'! Everyone was a happy camper!

Pergola Possibilities

To add to our outdoor furniture love, Mommy noticed a good sale price on a Pergola at the Bay.. then Tavish noted a great price on some outdoor furniture at Kitchen Stuff Plus. Sure, some assembly was required, but we've transformed our outdoor space and spend some quality time ... and have some kooky conversations out there too!

Keenly wanting to light the new citronella candle, Tavish disappears into the house and returns with lighter...
Mommy: Did Daddy give you that lighter?
Tavish: No, I got it in your room.
Mommy: There is a lighter in our room?
Tavish: Yeah, there is three.
Mommy: Do you know why there are so many lighters in our room?
Tavish: Yeah, so we don't find them. Ha. So... can I light the candle?
Huh...lighter safety fail apparently...

Later while hanging under the new pergola...
[Hear a few rain drops]
Keva: What's that sound?!
Mommy: Just a few rain drops.
[silence... another rain drop or two... pause]
Keva: We need to get out of here!

So, the pergola was enjoyed only briefly on it's inaugeral evening, but there will undoubtedly be many more fun times in the yard to come!
