Christmas is such a wonderful holiday and perfect reason to celebrate being together!

MOMENT: Gifts, Goodness, and a Gathering

Santa delivered thoughtful gifts from the kids list and everyone got a little bit of something festive to enjoy. The day was spent together in the sunshine. The dinner was delicious and the company wonderful. All in all, a great day and worth doing again in about a year!

Harbourfront Field Trip

I was able to join Keva on her class field trip to the Harbourfront Centre for some morning pottery followed by a hip hop class in the afternoon. These kindies have all the moves!

We had a wee-furry visitor for the first time. Penny found adoring fans, became a fan of her new sleeping pad (Tavish's bed), and wouldn't not go up or down the stairs on her own 4 feet...

Halloween 2017

Keva wanted to be a pumpkin, but that changed. Tavish was intent on some horror in his Halloween this year. In the end, they both got what they wanted, a pumpkin was carved, the place looked festive, there was a party, oh, and candy ... always lots of seasonal candy!

Puppet Play

While Mommy was away for the weekend (running a secondary leadership weekend), Tom assisted Tavish and Riley in the construction of a puppet show stage... let the creativity begin!

Tavish has taken a keen interest in Smash Mouth's "All Star" song. Yes, the one that was popular in 1999... Anyway, this old songs has received many a new lyrics during this fall's session of creativity...

Our family joined Maggie and Lilly & Jack to celebrate Thanksgiving at Peggy, Jeremy, Zachary, and Parker's this year. The kids put on a silly show, ran around, hung out, and enjoyed fine food. So much to be thankful for.

Time Travelling Monkeys

 It's true, you heard correctly, we have a child in a boy band.

These boys have an actual song, With lyrics. And, it is sort of catchy. Earlier this month, we are pretty sure Tavish was up in his room writing songs for the back that includes all the usual suspects: Jack (keyboard), Zach (drums), Charlie (bass), Riley (singer), Tavish (electric guitar). Riley created a logo with music notes and a stick figure monkey with a clock for a head...

Girls Trip to Long Point

Keva and I hit the road (and drove a bit far too) with some neighbourhood friends for a quick camping trip to catch the tail end of that summer feeling!

Rachel and Adelaide were up for an adventure, and adventure we did. We didn't stay too late on Sunday because of a tragic incident involving a burning marshmallow and Addie's cheek from the night before! The good news is that it all turned out okay and we can take the more positive memories away with us!

Jazz Dancer

We have a new jazzy dancer in the family! Keva is signed up for an after-school pick up program that ends with a jazz dance class. Needless to say, she is pretty excited about it...

Street Party Weekend

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the annual Coady Avenue Street Party! Although it was our 5th street party, the excitement and anticipation was as high as ever!

It really is a lovely community day spent outside your front day and the day never disappoints!

SK & Grade 3

They are back to school books, recess, and packed lunches!

Keva is back with Ms Sharma and Ms Uson in SK.

Tavish is back with Mme Ehrhardt in grade 3.

Both kids are happy to have their same teacher again - yay!

The night before the night before school (so, the last school-night-free night of summer), the four of us snuggled into the back 'yard' for an end-of-summer flick: Despicable Me. We are digging our new back yard digs!
