I've been meaning to capture the moments that make motherhood so special and although there are many videos and photos which will account for the first 15 months of Tavish's life there are no journals or scrapbooks. So, this blog will document the tid-bits and tales of the moments that make a mother proud, happy and generally enthused about this ride that is motherhood. This has been created for me but I invite you to read, share and enjoy this collection of moments too.
We had a stay-cation for Easter this year and the Easter bunny didn't disappoint! There was an egg carton feast!
MOMENT: An Egg-citing Weekend
The kids participated in the egg hunt at a local park and hunted around the house following clues to their holiday treats of macaroons, grapes, cashews, raisins, raspberries and more! All of this and some bunny inspired pancakes too! Holidays are fun...

Tavish LOVES his new hockey equipment? He will play with anyone at any time and virtually anywhere.
MOMENT: Waiting for Ahmed
Tavish was ready ... so ready to play, but Ahmed was later than expected. It was okay, Tavish kept himself busy and was more forgiving than normal since it was Ahmed who gave Tavish and Daddy tickets to a Leafs game just a few days after his birthday. This hockey love is real!
So ... that happened. Tavish, my "baby" boy turned six...
Good Morning, Six Year Old!
Happy birthday with hockey gear...
...and Star Wars douvet from Mom!
Birthday party pancakes!
MOMENT: Happy Birthday-days to Tavish!
Tavish came home from school on his birthday to find some hockey equipment and a homemade Star Wars douvet cover/curtain set. His hockey gear was in full use immediately, even in our livingroom! The official party was on Saturday at a Maple Syrup festival with pancakes, maple syrup, cupcakes, and outdoor fun. Six is off to a great start!

We made the most of our trip home from Vermont by spending a night in Kingston, then heading to "Torie's Farm" for the night. This is always a highlight of the winter for our family...

MOO!
MOMENT: Snow, Syrup, Cows
The kids discovered two 'end tables' in Kingston had wheels ... they were moveable entertainment for hours! Keva discovered her love of the digital camera on this trip too...if it was quiet, we hoped she was engaged with that and not into other stuff! Tavish helped Torie tap a maple tree and Terry took both kids out on the ATV this year to feed the cows!
Second annual journey to Vermont where Tavish tore up the slopes, the kids splashed around at the indoor waterpark, and the whole family made the most of what winter has to offer!
MOMENTS: Snow and Slopes
This was the year that Tavish made Mommy realize that it won't be long before he out-skis her! He was a natural out on the slopes. He even found himself skiing happily down a forest trail! As a family, we did some snowshoeing and enjoyed the waterpark. Daddy and Tavish also went skating and created their own curling game! Such a wonderful way to be together regardless of the winter weather!
