I've been meaning to capture the moments that make motherhood so special and although there are many videos and photos which will account for the first 15 months of Tavish's life there are no journals or scrapbooks. So, this blog will document the tid-bits and tales of the moments that make a mother proud, happy and generally enthused about this ride that is motherhood. This has been created for me but I invite you to read, share and enjoy this collection of moments too.
It's a one-day only party. The whole street comes outside to gather simply for the sake of gathering together. The cars move out. The people move in. A party on the street happens...
We were given the opportunity to foster a monarch caterpillar as it grew to be a beautiful caterpillar and head off on it's journey. We just weren't sure if our caterpillar was a Fred or a Freda ... thus the inspiration for "Frokie"
MOMENT: Milkweed for Growth
Twice a day we made sure caterpillar Frokie had a fresh new milkweed leaf and a clean place build it's chrysalis. We let Frokie take it from there...
Tavish is off to french immersion grade 1. No more "play-based" days.
Keva continues with Caeli, but will go two days a week to a small home-based pre-school with Moe.
Big year...
MOMENT: And They're Off!
I had the honour of walking Tavish to his first day of school and gathering some insight into what he was looking forward to. We celebrated this big day by eating dinner outside on the front porch. The second day of school, I was able to pick Tavish up from school. We stopped on the way home for some chill time with his buddy Riley (and Mommy Melissa).
What a perfect wrap to the summer of 2015. Beach time and buddies. Perfect.
MOMENT: Sand, Sun, Swim (Repeat)
We made our way to Sandbanks for a weekend of fun in the sun and were joined by our friends Joanne, Cam, Beckett, Quinn and Joanne's Mom! It was fun from sun up to sun down and beyond!
Hot town, summer in the city indeed! When we weren't off to the ocean, up north, or off visiting, our family were urban explorers - making the best of our environment. Enjoy a glimpse into what was perhaps the craziest summer's of all time (so far anyway)!

MOMENTS: So Much Nearby To Explore
There were parks to play at, splashes to be had, errands to run, produce to harvest, food to prepare, games to play, sporting skills to develop, songs to sing, bicycles to ride, camps to experience, crafts to create, a farm to frolic, and sites to see. The company for experiencing all of it was pretty good too!
