I've been meaning to capture the moments that make motherhood so special and although there are many videos and photos which will account for the first 15 months of Tavish's life there are no journals or scrapbooks. So, this blog will document the tid-bits and tales of the moments that make a mother proud, happy and generally enthused about this ride that is motherhood. This has been created for me but I invite you to read, share and enjoy this collection of moments too.
Our neighbours and friends invited us out onto their sailboat one summer evening. We sailed over to the Toronto Island to see the Toronto harbour. We had ourselves a fine BBQ meal we pulled together at the club where they were docking. The return trip on a shuttle boat was equally as scenic at night!

The kids had a great time at the wheel (while safely docked) and checked out the Toronto skyline by sailboat with their buddies, Charlie and James. Catherine and Doug were excellent Captains!
The wind down to summer happened as it does in June. With so much excitment with a year ends, come a few new beginnings too...

This will mark the end of Keva needing full-time Caeli-care. Some of Tavish's friends are moving to different schools. Keva will enter school in the next year. Different teacher. Pedicures for Mommy. Oh, and ice cream ... we made time for ice cream!

MOMENT: Baseball with a View
Mommy had a great time catching up with her friends but did not have a great view of the game. That's okay, Tavish did. That's important to him and catching up with friends was important to Mommy. Plus, both were thrilled to spend some time together. Oh, and eat a hotdog. Both were thrilled with that part of the outting too! Mmm, ball park hotdog...
The day after her birthday, we caught the feisty, funny, and frowny face of this fresh new four year old over some sweet dessert ... and with the phone's selfie function...

Keva brought some banana and pb 'sandwiches' (with the corner dipped in chocolate!) to share with her friends at Moe's. What better way to spend a day than being surrounded by those who love you? So, a whole cast of Keva fans participated: Caeli, some friends (Parker, Zach, Isable & parents), Grandpa Mike, Auntie Colleen, Alanna, a phone chat with Grandma and Grandpa, and of course, her biggest fans: Mommy, Daddy, and Tavish. There was jumping. There was sushi. There was cake. Happy birthday, Keva!
Turns out, you can have a cook out in the heart of this great city! We got a permit, gathered the crew, and let the kids run free!

The ravine system in Toronto is a hidden gem and this group of friends uncovered a small section of it. Kids played. Adults Chatted. Dinner. Marshmallows. Sparklers. This is how friends make memories!
