There are simply too many wonderful memories to fit into one video. So, a few select and specific 'moments' will get their very own post, while this entry captures the overall awesomeness that the summer of 2016 provided the TK2 family!

Sibling Separation

This summer was the first time that there were days when both kids were at something, and I wasn't at work. Four. Four days that happened. There were a few other days when Keva was off to Mighty Kids (daycare) and Tavish was not in a camp, so we spent a few days together. A summer of change and solo adventures without siblings.

Fort Frantastic 2016

Hands down, the highlight of the summer, every summer. We go home to Fort Frances and everyone feels happy. What's not to be happy about when at the cabin and surrounded by family?

Long Point 2016

We love Long Point! This year, we had Tom's University friend, Mike, and his family and friends join us. Tavish had a friend to play with (son of their friend) and Keva played with Grace... this left the adults to hang out with each other!

MOMENT: Wonderful Waves

When we arrived, the water was brown and sandy because it had been churned up from a storm earlier in the week. This did not pose any hesitation from our keen family though, we were right in there! It was back to crystal clear the next day which was helpful for washing away the sand we were finding all over our bodies after our first dip!

Cottaging 2016

Neighbourhood friends invited us to share some quality time together cottaging in the Kawartha area. Kids played with kids. Adults hung with adults. It was a perfect slice of summer life!

Come Sail Away

Our neighbours and friends invited us out onto their sailboat one summer evening. We sailed over to the Toronto Island to see the Toronto harbour. We had ourselves a fine BBQ meal we pulled together at the club where they were docking. The return trip on a shuttle boat was equally as scenic at night!

MOMENT: Sail Away!

The kids had a great time at the wheel (while safely docked) and checked out the Toronto skyline by sailboat with their buddies, Charlie and James. Catherine and Doug were excellent Captains!

School Stops. Summer Starts!

The wind down to summer happened as it does in June. With so much excitment with a year ends, come a few new beginnings too...

MOMENT: This Phase & the Next Stage

This will mark the end of Keva needing full-time Caeli-care. Some of Tavish's friends are moving to different schools. Keva will enter school in the next year. Different teacher. Pedicures for Mommy. Oh, and ice cream ... we made time for ice cream!
