Beer for Keva Feb 23, 2018

So, a friend and neighbour watched my kids and hers at our place for a short while one afternoon before I got home from work. 

Here is her account of her time here with Keva...

"OMG, Keva is awesome. 

She’s contemplating how to draw a dog. 

“I’ll just draw a circle for the head. Then draw her paws and her bum and her tail and her vagina. Oh, and her ears.” :)

We are currently playing restaurant and I’m the waitress. 

I asked her what she would like to drink while I go and get food ready. “Beer.”

Kath, Keva has asked for three refills of her beer! 

Basically, she is all of us :)

Now Keva is playing bedtime, which is just the easiest game ever.

I was so digging the bedtime play but then the girl needed her beer again!"

Funny Night

Ever since Keva was ill in the fall, she's been coming into our room at night.  Poor Daddy has been consistently turfed to a much smaller bed on the other side of the house.

While sleeping with Keva last night, I was awoken by a strange sound. I heard laughing. I thought maybe she was laughing about something I had done or that she was awake. Turns out, she was fast asleep! She laughed a few more times, too! It is delightful to know that she can have a good time around the clock!

Family Day Weekend: Ottawa, 2018

We packed Penny up and hit the road to Ottawa. We were ready for some family time and some winter fun!

MOMENTS: Family and Fun

We made use of Grandpa Mike's home on Holland with all of the snow outside and the workshop inside. It was great to see Michele and the boys on Family Day weekend this year as well! We hit up Winterlude and had our traditional brunch with Rachel and family on our way out of town. Always a great winter long weekend.

Valentine's 2018

For school, Keva gave her classmates play-dough while Tavish made his classmates origami paper airplanes! For our family, we went to go skating at Riverdale but it was too warm, so we played on the snow mountain there. For Tom and I, we enjoyed champagne and each other's company after the kids were down for the night. So much love to give and so much love to receive.

A Sledding Sunday

Yay! Toronto actually got enough snow that we could try to make use of it! It was a fun family sleddy Sunday at Greenwood!

MOMENT: There was a BUMP

Going up with the sled was always worth it because going down was so much fun!

All Snow Will Be Used

The snow has just been so sparse, that the kids will use any amount to build something...even when it doesn't amount to much!

Wilbert Sammon

Finally Mommy had an early settler from her family at the Century School House! Mr Wilbert Sammon was a very good student, he did not speak unless spoken to and understood that children were to be seen and not heard! He was also very mindful of his manners saying "yes please, Ma'am" and "you are welcome, Ma'am" when it was appropriate. He also worked hard at sitting in first position for the day. Ms Taylor was pleased to teach him.
